Calculator
Equipment energy-cost calculator
Enter the device’s power draw in watts, hours of use per day, days of use per year and your electricity price per kWh. The result is an estimated yearly energy use and cost.

Result
Your result appears here, with the arithmetic shown step by step.
Formula
- Annual energy (kWh) = watts ÷ 1,000 × hours per day × days per year.
- Estimated annual cost = annual kWh × electricity price per kWh.
50 W × 12 h × 365 days ÷ 1,000 = 219 kWh. At $0.20 per kWh: an estimated $43.80 a year. Zero power gives $0 energy cost.
What the result means
Results are estimated. They exclude tax and any other charges on your bill, and they are not a promise of savings.
Use the power draw for the setting you actually use, from the exact model’s official specifications, and the price per kWh from your own bill. The calculator does not look up electricity prices.
