Policy

Editorial policy

We use primary sources for factual specifications and distinguish provider claims from our own observations.
  • Effective October 24, 2026
  • Last reviewed

We publish firsthand findings only when that work has occurred. Commercial relationships do not determine factual labels, access to free tools or whether a useful noncommercial option is included. Readers may report errors through our corrections page. We recheck consequential changes before republishing.

Sources and dates

Important facts link to their sources. Pages show the date a person last checked their sources, or “Not verified” when no check is recorded. We do not change a date without a real review, and a link that still loads is not proof that its content is unchanged.

Desk research and testing

We separate desk research, hands-on use and independent testing, and we label desk research as desk research. We never call an untested product tested, and we do not claim personal experience through a synthetic author.

Who edits and reviews

Ekitore Adamase, a pen name used by the site’s owner, edits and publishes Healthy Home Audit. No professional credentials are claimed. Subject-matter review: none yet; no credentialed air, water or moisture professional has reviewed this content. A page will name a reviewer only after that person has actually reviewed it.

Commercial relationships

Comparisons use declared task criteria or alphabetical order. A commission cannot influence a comparison’s order, a factual label or an eligibility result. See the affiliate disclosure.

Corrections and reviews

We record the page, the issue, the source, the person responsible, the resolution and the date. When a central record changes, the pages that use it change with it. If an error could mislead a purchasing or professional decision, we pause the statement or link until it is verified. We publish a clear correction note when warranted rather than hiding a substantive change behind an updated date. Commercial offers are reviewed more often than evergreen guidance, and verification dates are never refreshed automatically.

Sources and changes

Important facts link to their sources. The date shows when a person last checked them.
